Blepharoplasty

The eyelids may loosen over time under the influence of aging. Under-eye bags reveal themselves as problematic issues which may occur due to aging and at younger ages as well. Aesthetic interventions are very effective in removing the bags which had shown up in the eyelids and under the eyes.

How is blepharoplasty performed?
Blepharoplasty is performed by applying an entry from the fold line of the upper eyelid and from the beneath of the eyelashes on the lower eyelid. Thus, the surgical scars are prevented to be seen. Working with micro-invasive philosophy in this structure always ensure less complications and better results since the eyelid structures are elegant.

How long does a blepharoplasty take?
The duration of an eyelid surgery can range from 1 hour to 2 hours. A surgical procedure of approximately 40 minutes is performed for the upper eyelid. A surgery for a bag that occurs in the lower eyelid takes about 1 hour.

When can the patient return to his social life?
After surgery, the patient may immediately return home. Swelling and redness may occur in the eyes due to surgery. But this swelling will go away in about a week. The patient who had an eyelid surgery can travel by plane in 4-5 days after the operation. After about a week, the patient may return to his daily life and go to work. A week before the aesthetic operation, a botox injection is applied to the patient so that the facial lines due to mimic muscles do not reappear.
